“There is a update notification about iOS 10.3.2, so i want to update my iPhone with iOS 10.3.2. but how to backup my App data before updating to iOS 10.3.2?”
As suggested we should backup our iPhone data before updating them, now iOS 10.3.2 is released, many people have updated their iPhone with it. And some of them lost some of their app data, while some other people don’t. what should we do? Now in order to avoid this issue, we can backup app data before updating to iOS 10.3.2, then we can restore our iPhone app data when we lost some of them.
Now check below methods and choose some suitable one to have a try.
Backup App Data with iTunes before Updating to iOS 10.3.2
iTunes is recommed by Apple to do backup, now we can use it to backup our iPhone app data. See below steps.
1.Launching your iTunes, connect your iPhone with PC. When it’s detected by PC, go to Files–Summary.
2.then tap on “Backup Now” on the right page, and confirm with “Backup”.
When it’s finished backup, you can go to below folder address to check them:
For Windows: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
For Mac ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Backup App Data with iCloud before Updating to iOS 10.3.2
Now we can also backup our iPhone app data on iCloud, if the storage of our iCloud is enough. And we can do it everywhere if only our iPhone is connected with Wifi. See below steps.
1.Connect your iPhone with Wifi, go to Setting–iCloud.
2.log in it with your Apple ID and password, then turn on iCloud server, and the app button list below it that you need to backup.
3.then tap on “Backup”, and confirm with “Backup Now”.
It’s quite easy for us to backup app data on iCloud, but it just doesn’t support us to backup them selectively, and we couldn’t preview them before backup.
Backup App Data with Third-Party Software
If you need to backup only some of your app data, and do it selectively, then third-party software is your best choice. Here we recommend you iRefone, which is a professional iOS data recovery software.
It can backup as well as recover more than 16 kinds of files, including contacts, notes, messages, photos, reminders, calendars, WeChat messages ect. Also it can help us extract data from iTunes and iCloud backup selectively, if you have some backups.
Now you can download and install the free trial version of iRefone to backup your app data selectively.
Step 1. Run iRefone, connect your iPhone with PC. Tap on “Recover from iOS Device”, click “Start”.
Step 2. then we’ll enter the new interface with many data icon and media icon that iRefone can recover, click “Message” icon for example, and it’ll be scanned by the software.
Step 3. wait a few seconds for scanning, then you can preview and choose messages you need to backup, tap on “Recover to PC”.
