Backup iMessages on your iPad

Backup iMessage with iTunes

The first choice for us to backup iMessages on iPad is with iTunes, and the backup files on iTunes are stored on our PC, so we don’t need to worry about the storage will be full.

Launching your iTunes, connect your iPad with PC. When it’s recognized, go to Files–Summary, tap on “Backup Now”, and confirm with “Backup”.

When you need to check those backup files on iTunes, you can go to below folder address for them directly:

For Windows: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

For Mac ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/

Backup iMessages with iCloud

We can also backup iMessages on iCloud, if our iCloud storage is enough. But it just doesn’t support us to backup them selectively.

Connect your iPad with Wifi, go to Setting–iCloud, log in it with your Apple ID and password. Then turn on you iCloud server and iMessages button.

Tap on “Backup” and confirm with “Backup Now”.

Selectively Backup iMessages with iRefone
