How to set up CarPlay on iPhone
Firstly, please make sure your car supports CarPlay, then we’ll see how to set up CarPlay on iPhone with USB.
Step 1. Turn on your car, and open your iPhone, then go to Setting–General–CarPlay.
Step 2. Now you’ll get two methods to set up your CarPlay, that is with USB or Bluetooth. And USB needs CarPlay to connect to cars general USB port. Bluetooth needs it to be built-in to the car steering wheel.
Step 3. Choose “USB Only” or “Turn on Bluetooth”. Then connect your iPhone with USB port to begin the set up process, or tap on “Turn on Bluetooth”, then press and hold on the car voice control /Siri/CarPlay button on steering wheel to begin the CarPlay setup process.
Step 4. When CarPlay unit is detected, select it from the list of available cars, then the in-dash display should display CarPlay immediately.
Step 5. Then you can confirm CarPlay by using CarPlay dash unit touch screen. When finish set up, you can use your iPhone to get directs, play music, make phone calls ect.
